Hi. I`m very surprised no one has mentioned Aloe-Vera. I have been on you-tube, and there is quite a lot of video´s on using Aloe-Vera. I would like to know if anyone has ever tried this. They have the plant and cut a stem, or a leaf, whatever you want to call it, trim the outside edges off, and then separate the front and back and scrape the inside, out of it. Apparently you can also take it orally. I know you can buy jars of Aloe-Vera, but i wouldn´t think it would be as good as the natural oils.

Just a thought. Thanks.

I've tried Aloe Vera. I have it in gel form and it's a nice cool feeling when applied. I can't say it helped me clear, but it didn't hurt and it helped soothe.

It's been mentioned a few times by some members, I just made a search and found a few posts about it and if I remember rightly Micky grew his own for a while. But I've yet to see enough evidence of it doing a great deal of good for psoriasis, so that could be the reason you haven't seen much about it on here from our members.

Hi Good Point....I've used Aloe Vera a succulent plant since a child. Long before the new drugs of today. There are many forums with the suggestion of aloe and it works for some and not others.
In my case, it works the same way occlusion does. It seals off the air and seals out the micro capillary blood vessels that feed the psoriasis deep down in the derm layers. If aloe is kept on consistently, plaque P. has gone into remission in my case many times. It's easier for me to keep the aloe in place using plastic wrap . Also always use a natural skin conditioner. Aloe used in conjunction with light therapy and steroid creams in some serious cases I have had in the past.
Aloe is just one of the many things I have collected in my arsenal to fight this disease over the years. I have read in many reports it also depends on the amount of coverage p. is on the body how well aloe works, and what type of P. is involved. Everyone is different. I have learned over the years that not all the same meds or methods work for everyone.

Hope you are doing well.
Stay clear!

I was having what I thought was good luck with duct tape. No doubt it was simple occlusion. I decided to substitute plastic wrap and it gave me a nasty, itchy flare-up.

Stupid unpredictable P.
