Hello

I've had psoriasis on my face, for a few years now.  It's clearing up finally and mostly due to the video on youtube At first when I tried what he suggested, I didn't notice any changes.  It was only after increasing Vitamin C from 1,000mg daily to 3,000mg daily, that I noticed it clearing up.  I did not change my diet and I think I will, very soon, now psoriasis is in remission , but very itchy as I am recovering from a cold.  Plus I will also start taking the recommended probiotics ( he recommends DDS).

I had it strictly on my face (sides of my nose and eyebrows and sometimes in or behind my ears).  It had been getting worse over the last few months.  I suspect since I switched to decaf coffee and would consume more along with honey for sweetner, but I'm not sure.  Point is for someone who has a bigger area to heal, I have no idea what amount of vitamin C you would need. You can take too much vitamin C, so best consult a healthcare proffessional.  Also check out Ester C it is more easily absorbed and stays in the body longer.

People who get IBS are more likely to develop psoriasis, studies have shown, and kidney stones!  I treated my IBS with Udo's Toddlers Blend probiotics and garlic and am mostly cured.  Thank God! and don't get me started on kidney stones! Lemmon Juice.

Anyway, Big Thanks to the owner of this site for letting people speak their minds!

EDIT By Fred: Removed name of person on Youtube as it's against our policy to allow the promotion of any psoriasis treatments on Youtube.

Hi john thanks for letting us know how you are coping with your psoriasis it's good you found something that is working for you, I really hope it continues to work and you can manage without medication.
Yes many have tried the natural route I myself have never been one for giving up things to help the condition. I have no will power .....I tend to rely on our health professionals in our National Health Service.
Should all else fail I may be tempted to change my lifestyle
Keep coming back there aren't many rules on here except to enjoy yourself .....and the one Fred edited out of your post..... Don't worry we have all had it done. But most of the few rules are here for our own protection to stop spam and bullying..
You have found some novel treatments for your IBS and kidney stones
I take it the lemon juice is going to dissolve them to a size you can pass eek
While you are here if you are thinking of changing diet have a look at this link which shows what's good and what's not The anti-inflamatory food pyramid

Hi jiml

Yes, the lemon juice does dissolve calcium.

I did an experiment with eggs in cups of various liquids and lemon juice worked the best ( three days and calcium was dissolving nicely). How well it functions in the body, I do not know. I don't usually drink it though. I went for a laser operation, that didn't work. They push a laser and camera up your urinary track and laser the stones.

Which reminds me of this stand-up comedian. He's a Canadian who is currently living in the States and went to the proctologist for an colonoscopy. The proctologist talked about the procedure in centimeters. The comedian said you know, I use to live in Canada and we use the metric system all the time, but here in the States I've never heard it being used before. Just curious why are you using it now? The proctologist said: Well, we don't like to tell people, we'll be shoving a hose six feet up their ass!

Next was the vibration shock therapy, which was great! For all you hypochondriacs out there, I highly recommend it! You lie on a bed and fall asleep, while they send shock waves through you to break up the stones. Stent removal was..... the worst, ask to be knocked out for that one.

Thank-you for the link to "The anti-inflamatory food pyramid " I will be studying that.

That's good to know. I use a Vit C lotion for my face which was recommended by a local medical spa. Since I had started medicine and light therapy as well, I didn't know how much it helped with the clearing, but at least now I have more confidence that the lady there might have known what she was talking about. Another do it yourself medication man. I like the egg experiment. You certainly try things so following you should be an education ... And a few more jokes are always acceptable ( im told) hope to see you in off topic some time

Glad to be of some help Kat.

I know vitamin C is one of the more important vitamins. It's crucial for fighting disease and repairing the body. I've read the "recommended dietary allowance" is barely enough to prevent scurvy. There are many enemies of vitamin C: heat, cooking, oxygen, smoking, the pill, smog, chlorinated drinking water.

And in a way salt (perhaps the real cause of scurvy as per a book I read about a sailor spending six months in the artic, no vitamin C, no fruit and not getting scurvy). Sailing in the days before refrigeration, salt was used to keep food from spoiling. And salt is in everything nowadays.

So vitamin C is very important and we don't get nearly enough. I cannot speak about how effective topically it is, but if it's works for you. That's great!

Well at least the lotion smells nice and if it didn't help with my psoriasis (as I have no clue how well topical treatment with Vit C actually is) it at least is a nice lotion.

I've tried to increase my Vitamins (C being one of them) but I'd bet that I don't do enough. Good information though, thanks!

It probably is working for you Kat. I don't use lotions, so I can't speak from experience. Please keep using it and let us know how you're doing.

jiml Those are amazing fossils you found! 120,000 year old lion skull and the hippo right there in Britain. I had no idea they had zoos back then. I haven't seen all the pics in the picture section yet, looking forward to it.

Ha ha yes they are amazing they were just a few of my finds. I used to as a younger man (and when Heath and safety hadn't gone mad and quarry owners let you in to dig for fossils) I used to go early mornings to certain sites all within an hour of my house and dig I must have moved tonnes of fossil bones and gave most to museums ... Oh you got me started I will have to do a thread in off topic some time soon with loads more pics of hippo, hyaena, mammoth, and rhino
I must have struck a prehistoric zoo 85

On a school trip I found a stone arrow head with the tip broken off. It was put on display at the school. I often wondered about it's past and the life of the original owner. I think finding things could be addictive and a great hobby. Anyway, a thread in the off topic section sounds like a really good idea. I'm off to make supper. Catch you all later.
