Both. It's automated and makes the link dead so yes it makes it easier to post links, but it should not show the Codes too.

Not sure if it will get fixed for the next update in time, but it's been accepted as a bug by the software makers and is on the list to be fixed so it just shows a dead link.

Once fixed if you post a link it will show as normal, but will be dead. Thumb

You can still decide when you want to open or close them, unless you are using the WYSIWYG see second part of this post on how to turn it on/off: RE: Codes in your posts

If it's off you can add you first code in your post like this.

Add the text you want and then put in the closed code like this.

Or another option is (I'm not sure how you do it on Ipad Caroline may be able to help) But if you highlight the text with you mouse and then click the code you want it will put it either side for you.
