Here an article on scientific research and the flaws in it. If this is the status of real scientific research, how shall we weight the results of pharma paid research on their own products then?

Seems life is kind of a roulette... Big Grin

Yes some research and studies are a bit like roulette (we agree again) and I agree where the article said "scientists have lost their taste for self-policing and quality control. The obligation to “publish or perish” has come to rule over academic life."

And when I publish studies on Psoriasis Club I sometimes think "is it worth it" as some are rather small, but I publish them in the hope that it stimulates people into having a say. Without studies of any sort would we even know about new treatments until they are out there, at least by having them it keeps us talking about it and we are able to form our own opinions before being offered a new treatment.

As far as I know the Pharma research is more regulated and I don't think people would be around long if they produced false or misleading information about drugs.
