I'm not sure if it's common but with all drug taking there are risks, if you are properly monitored and have regular blood tests, they should flag up problems in the early stages, and be corrected by reducing doses or changing to another drug.
I'm just passing on what my dermatologist tells me Thumb 78

What medication are you referring too?

Like Jim said there are risks with all types of medication, some could affect ones liver for example people using methotrexate should have their liver monitored by a professional.

If you could be more specific on what medication you are referring too, we could find out more information for you.
