Is there a link between Eczema and psoriasis

Are there any links between psoriasis and eczema.
The reason I ask is because my granddaughter is suffering all over with very itchy eczema and I wondered if there is a link between the two conditions.

No is the simple answer, but it can often be mistaken even by GPs for psoriasis and vice versa, and as a result a lot of people are often misdiagnosed.

I'm not sure if you or you granddaughter are into Twitter but I can recommend a chat with one of Psoriasis Clubs followers, Nottingham Eczema: Though in Nottingham they are great bunch and always willing to help.

I won't bother going into what to tell her to look out for regarding psoriasis as you will know, but as far as I know there is no link.

Thanks Fred I wasn't sure if there was a link, I could not remember reading anything and Google has several links but they are all pretty useless.

You're welcome. Someone else here may have more info but I don't recall any members with both, but they may know of someone with Eczema.
