Thank you both Blush

But I must tip my hat to you Jim for getting an agreement from Caroline, a very rare occurrence. 78

I agree with all that has been said already. I get frustrated on other sites by the pop ups, ads and so on, which annoy me and make me leave the site more quickly than I would have done.

Thank you Paul, it's nice to know what members think. And you can all rest assured it will stay independent, well except for the odd.

Fred I feel it's time for me to add a few things here as the forum comes close to five years old in its current format.....
In my time here I  have noticed you (Fred) working tirelessly in the background keeping the site safe, the odd spammer does get to post but never lasts many hours before you turf them off with a few well chosen words.
We should feel privileged to have such a vibrant, safe environment to express our concerns about our various treatments. Without interference from sponsors, as Fred said in this months newsletter the site is free to use and despite offers of donations ( which Fred does not like I know I have tried  Confused ) I think anyone who joins the forum / club always finds Fred very accommodating and willing to listen to new ideas. I know there have been changes in the last year since I started this thread, we have lots of new members, many of whom are active on the site helping to keep it current and in touch with the wider world. Fred has appointed helpers to assist members who have problems or lose their way whilst on the forum, there is usually one of the three of us Caroline, Kat and myself. Always ready to help when Fred is offline.
We now have a chatting thread to help break the ice with new members or to just chat about anything ....
But the main thing is the site always has a happy feel to it due to the way it is run and I'm sure that has to be a positive for anyone with psoriasis...
The off topic section can be strange  Confused  but there are also some very funny posts there and some informative discussions, we don't always agree but we respect each other's points of view  Wink
So Fred thanks yet again for what you do and what you have achieved so far I look forward to the future here among friends from around the world, people we would never have met had it not been for this site and you making it available ( no man hug)
Jim

Jim

Thank you for the feedback Jim, but it wouldn't work without the members. I'm happy supplying the forum for others to share support and information, and like I have always said it will always be independent and there will Never be advertisers, sponsors, ore requests for donations. This makes Psoriasis Club the Only totally independent psoriasis website out there, I can not find another one that doesn't have ads, sponsors, donations, or one that has an ulterior motive.

As for Psoriasis Club being a safe place for it's members: It will always be that way, I don't hesitate to throw out spammers and they don't get a second chance. As for Cyberbullies and Trolls they too will get shown the door, and as you know I have even thrown out a long term member for causing an unfriendly environment. Newbies that spam, bully, or troll will get thrown out without question, established members who decide to start causing trouble will be contacted by me and given the chance to stop, but should they fail then they too will be shown the door.

I'm just like the rest of you, I have psoriasis and like you I don't need hassle from a support forum. In my opinion there is no reason to be unfriendly with others, we may not always agree with each other but we don't have to answer or read if we don't want to. There is plenty of room on Psoriasis Club for all genuine people, and they will always be made very welcome but cause trouble and you're out the door.

Fred the work you do here is just awesome! When I started looking for information on psoriasis, I found some informative websites (which I feel I should add all of that information PLUS can be found right here!) and a lot of ads where people wanted to sell me something. I really liked the idea of being able to discuss it with other people, but didn't find a forum that was easy to use and spam free until finding the psoriasis club. I haven't looked back!!

There is very little Fred that I can add that the other inmates have not said so please accept my thanks and gratitude for all that you have done . It's such a friendly place to be even though the inmates ,for the majority, are a bit nutty which means that I really feel at home. I looked at a new electric oven the other day and this is the only place where the dam adverts don't keep chasing me around.
THANK YOU FRED !!!!

You're very welcome Dave, and thank you for helping keep the place active.

Oh and yes I apologise about the nutty ones, but as you know I'm always the sensible one.  87
