Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone has any tips for foods that might possibly help alleviate the symptoms of PS. I heard that anti-inflammatory foods are best, but various websites I looked at don't seem clear on what to go for and what to avoid, and what they are, precisely. For example, one site said to avoid tomatoes, another that they were good. I read that vitamin D is helpful but a lot of sources seem to be fish based - I'm veggie, so a plant or dairy source would be good. Any tips, please, would be great, thanks. Smile

Try here: The anti-inflamatory food pyramid

I will move this thread as it's not an introduction.

Hi Filmbuff I must have missed this thread earlier but I'll chip in now ...as far as I can tell nothing I eat seems to affect my psoriasis Blush I have always eaten whatever I fancy and nothing seems to make a scrap of difference to me, Until I got the long term clearance I have now I did try cutting out different foods but never noticed a difference so went back to eating everything, I found watching what I ate more stressful so gave up

My current treatment Fumaderm I eat normally and enjoy the occasional drink Wink and it has no effect on my psoriasis or the efficacy of the treatment

But we are all different and trying to cut out the nightshade foods and increase the beneficial ones can't do any harm and just might help you Thumb
