I'm not too sure what kind of psoriasis I have. I get weird flare ups. Sometimes they're minor. (Red and white flaky) Other times they're red/yellow/ and when the stuff plagued on my neck falls off it's hard as a rock. Right now I have a very bad flare up. It's pussy and has hard yellow stuff falling off it and it hurts to move my neck. (I only have it on my scalp and on my neck.) My scalp seems to be the worst effected area and my neck is very minor. Would anyone recommend bag balm for this?

Have a look at this thread for a description of the different types of psoriasis, each section has links to relevant photo's: Types Of Psoriasis Explained
I do however recommend you get a professional diagnosis from your GP or preferably a dermatologist, as it could be something else.

Never heard of it myself, but did find out the following info on Wkipedia.
Quote:
Bag Balm is a salve developed in 1899 to soothe irritation on cows' udders after milking. The product is officially only meant for animals and is inspected as such by the United States Food and Drug Administration, but it's also often used as a treatment for chapped and irritated skin on humans and can be found in places such as drug stores, ski resorts, online vendors, needle-work stores, and of course farm and feed stores. Its uses are many, for example "squeaky bed springs, psoriasis, dry facial skin, cracked fingers, burns, zits, diaper rash, saddle sores, sunburn, pruned trees, rifles, shell casings, bed sores and radiation burns.

The active ingredients of Bag Balm are 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate 0.3% (antiseptic) in a petroleum jelly USP and lanolin base.

So it's basicly just a moisturiser and although it mentions psoriasis it won't help that much in my opinion.

With us this is called (beware direct translation) nipple cream, often used by women who breast feed their babies. It is used, of course, for cracked nipples.
Indeed it is quite equal to Udder Ointment.

It helps very well if you have some crack in your toes, hands or .. Nipples. But I do not know if it does something for psoriasis, maybe indeed a moisturizing effect but that's all.
