Acid reducer. Hopefully it will prevent the vomiting that will eventually cause damage done to my stomach by the NSAID Celebrex. The six week trial is to see what celebrex does to my blood work.

I don't understand all the effort being being expended on a drug that is temporary at best.

Mmmm don't they eventually damage your stomach lining though. Sorry to sound so negative but I remember the old days of MTX and another pill to stop this and another to stop that, I'm sure I used to rattle. Scare

I feel like an over medicated 90 year old grandpa. My recent xrays showed new damage to my hip. He asked over and over about the hip: "did celebrex help your hip?" My test came up clean for stomach issues. However, an endoscopy would be needed to make sure. He seems to be scared to remove the Stelara and try something else. He keeps telling me that most dermatologist won't subscribe Stelera for moderate case. I raise the white flag. Wish he would test me for AS, willing to bet I have it on top of PsA.

But isn't Celebrex just a painkiller ?
And maybe a bit an inflammation reducer?

How can it then help for your hip?

You are essentially correct. Celebrex is not going slow down the progression of my disease in any way. However, my inflammation in hip has increased since my last visit.
