Hi,

Looking at the most recent research, it would appear that individuals who have psoriasis have really benefitted from CBT treatment! I am told this is not available in the UK but I suspect it has been used in the US... anyone heard anything?

I don't remember any other Psoriasis Club members talking about it, and it's the first time I have heard of it being used for Psoriasis.

But for my own opinion: I believe that having a positive attitude can help immensely, but for CBT I'm a bit sceptical (yes I am for most psoriasis treatments) as psoriasis is an Autoimmune problem I don't see how correcting someone's behaviour could help.

Yes it could probably help in stopping you scratching, but I would think it's probably one of those things that would create the placebo effect and could work for a while.

Be interesting to see what others think, and if you have tried it and your not a member please join us to add your input as it could help others.

Well I can imagine that cognitive behavior therapy can make you "feel" a lot better. If you "feel" better you probably have less stress, which is beneficial against psoriasis.
But I never heard that this therapy is a major breakthrough, or even never heard anybody who told about it.

Having fun, laughing, enjoying yourself, are all good for you. Dance
