Please move if I've put this in the wrong section.

As you may or may not know, after my recent relapse, I've lost quite a few layers of skin from my feet. Luckily I now have my meds and will be away on holiday in a few weeks. Thumb

The problem now is........shoes!

My feet are still uber sensitive (as are my ankles from all that tippy toeing around) and still get a bit hot. It will take a while for the skin to toughen up again. I need to find some shoes that basically feel like slippers or perhaps try some memory foam insoles?

Just wondered if anyone had anyone suggestions or personal recommendations.

Smile

No it's in the right place. Thumb

Sorry I can't help, though a few years ago now when I was in the UK I was sent to physiotherapy and they made me a set of great insoles. So may be worth asking your derm to send you for a fitting?

Hope someone has another idea, and please keep us updated.

OUCH! That hurt!

I just spent over £40 on shoes. eek

I really hate shoe shopping.

Anyway, these were two comfort brands that are allegedly designed for people with sensitive feet.......Skechers and Dr Lightfoot. Believe me, if they don't measure up they will be going back pronto.

Suggestions still appreciated folks.

(BTW, I used the Psoriasis Forum Amazon linky). Thumb

I used it for some books a couple of weeks ago so keep your eye out for any commissions.

Will do but you don't get a lot on average 4% to a maximum of £9 per visitor and they don't pay till you reach £25. Here is the Psoriasis Club earnings for the past 3 years.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones; haven't had any P on my feet since February. However, I still have difficulty finding shoes. My feet seem to get wider each year.

When my P flares on my ankles I tend to wear my crocs when not at work. Feet stay cool and they don't rub my ankles and they have a raised arch which is good for my flat feet and the bounce in the sole means that there's less impact on the P bits of me!. Not the most practical for rainy England but maybe an option if your on tour holidays somewhere sunny!

Ps - what am missing re amazon? Can I link my kindle purchases to help?

Hello Amy, no you're not missing anything. I tried 3 years ago to help raise some funds for the running costs of Psoriasis Club, but have decided it's not worth it. All is explained here: Dumped Amazon
