As Caroline says, the advice here is all about directing people toward safe and effective management of your disease. If someone suggests doing something potentially harmful I wont hesitate to warn them. As a starting point you must have medical testing to determine that DMF is okay for you. Then you need DMF of known quality (I have powder of 98% purity). If you are using raw powder you will need accurate scales to weigh doses. You will also require regular monitoring of you blood, especially in the early stages of treatment.
DMF does cause a local depletion of GSH when absorbed, although it ultimately leads to higher GSH through its pharmacological action. Although I find that pre-dosing with l-cysteine reduces the gastric side effects greatly, the mechanism I suggest for this is speculative and not confirmed by research.
Cheers,
Bill
