There seems to be a difference between recent and long standing psoriasis, else why would the recent stuff come and go while the long standing stuff is so persistent?

In the past I've found that any new patches that appear sometime just go away, but the places where I've always had it are the first ones to show if I get a flare up. So could it be that the long sanding was the first signs of it (before treatment), but once you start treating the body the new stuff can't get a hold because of the treatment. If you get what I mean.
