Hi John and Welcome I wish I had the willpower to stick to a regime like that. Unfortunately my body craves for all the wrong foods. [/qt]
Thanks Jiml, took me a few years to finally make the changes necessary, but so worth it.
[qt]The experience you describe is more or less the approach of Charles, the guy who made the website howtobeatpsoriasis dot something.
I agree with Jim, this is a very heavy regime. Good to see that somebody else uses it, and to find that it works. This means overall that psoriasis and your total metabolism are heavily interacting.
@Caroline
It is from Charles site that I first started to use raw veggie juicing but I altered it to ensure I was getting the right nutrients (he includes fruit to flavour but I found fruit bad for me when my skin was in a severe state so excluded it as the natural sugars are inflammatory).
I found that it stopped my psoriasis spreading and drastically improved my nail psoriasis, made my skin less aggressive but it didn't clear my skin. It was only when I added the detox regime, and the extra supplements I mentioned above that I began to see pink skin and finally some great clearance.
It was through tons of research from sites like Charles, other personal triumphs documented online, existing well known psoriasis diet plans and my own trial and error, that I found the combo that works for me.
I actually am able to drink some gin and tonics now with little to no side effect! However if I abuse my body, i.e start pushing it to the limit with stress, little sleep and too much gin, it makes an aggressive return.
