Well I was thinking of changing to Cosentyx once it is available to me because the winters are getting harder to cope with in regard to psoriatic arthritis. I'm not 100% sure if it is because Stelara isn't working as well as it did, or if it's because as I get older the psoriatic arthritis is getting worse. Stelara never has been as good as the TNF's for psoriasis arthritis, but it has made me feel happier and has worked enough for me to be able to cope and enjoy life.
I have always known the cold and damp has made it worse, and this damp patch we are having has reminded me how bad it can get. I was thinking of switching at the end of the year anyway and this has convinced me that Cosentyx will be better than Stelara.
We have to remember I've been on it for 6 years and it has given me my life back. But I think sometimes our body can get used to a treatment if you like and it's efficacy starts to dwindle. As you know I'm a fan of Bio's and Stelara has been very good to me, but I'm thinking the future is Cosentyx or Taltz.
EDIT @Quest Yes the damp has effected me for a long time now, and since living in France it has been better. But this unusual damp spell we are experiencing has reminded me how bad it can get. You are right stress plays an important part and even though we think we are not stressed I think feeling like I did last week has a negative effect, catch 22.
At the moment I'm aiming for another three months on Stelara, but probably move to Cosentyx after that or maybe before.
