It could be one of many things he will offer, if you have tried them before without success politely tell him you will take them but you want a referral to a dermatologist

You are likely to be offered uv treatment first, it's usually 3 times a week at the hospital.
Or they may offer you methotrexate Methotrexate or acetretin Acitretin
If you read up on the various treatments you will be able to talk to your doctor and dermatologist and understand what you are being offered
If you have any questions ask away someone on here will probably have an answer
Had the UV as well...there was an ointment with that, it made everything purple (of all colours !) so i'm going to look up your Fumaderm.
