Methotrexate or Fumaderm?

i tried fumaderm for 5 months as due to it seeming a safer drug.  I gladly suffered all the side effectes in the hope it would clear up my P. but sadly 5 months in and on 6 tabs a day (full dose) my skin was even more inflammed and scalp was worse plus i felt horrendous on it.   Ive now started methatrexate and my skin in improving already and i feel fine.  I think we are all different and what works for one may not for another. I was on cycosplorine for a good few years and it worked wonders for me but due to cost im now no longer allowed it....good luck

Psoriasis seems to affect different people in different ways.  My situation is the direct opposite of yours.  I tried methotrexate for a couple of years, with lots of side effects plus danger to liver for prolonged use and no help for my psoriasis.  I tried Fumaderm later in my +30 year battle with the disease, result being that I am currently on a maintenance dose of 1 x 120 mg tablet every second day, with no psoriasis lesions anywhere.  At one time my body was covered +20%. I have been Psoriasis free now for approximately 4-5 years.
