Thank you TL for the PDF document.
I had misunderstood your original question (Merlot Time ) But what I get from it is that we do know there is a lot of information about the relation of psoriasis and depression, but is it possible to have the mental health issues without the signs of psoriasis.
I couldn't find any abstracts on here that had looked into it, most tend to look into people with psoriasis and mental health issue as opposed to the other way around. People with mental health issues and psoriasis.
It's an interesting question and I suppose it is possible to have the mental health issues related to psoriasis without the signs on the skin, but I would have thought eventually the skin signs would appear. I also think it is possible for something like depression to bring on psoriasis, but for how long one could have the mental health issue part before the skin side showed itself I don't know
Like you I find those huge PDFs heavy reading and that is why I use abstracts on Psoriasis Club, but I'm sorry I haven't been able to find anything.
I'll keep the PDF and if anyone wants it they can let me know. But I think like you said the gist of it is:
"Depressed mood with psoriasis isn't just down to feeling embarrassed about how you look, there are physical changes in the brain. And is it possible one can have the other problems of psoriasis without the skin problems."
