Yep I'm with the others first off get yourself some good quality Coconut Oil you can read more about that here: Coconut Oil
When you said "have asked for tablets or injection but was fobbed off" You won't get the injections they are used for serious cases or a last resort. And as for the tablets your GP can not prescribe them to you, so you do have to see a dermatologist. Your GP (who sounds rubbish to me) will do nothing more. I understand you not wanting to pester your GP, but it is their job to look after you, and psoriasis is a long term autoimmune problem that has many underlying problems.
You have lost a job and it is effecting your quality of life so demand that your GP send you to a dermatologist. Trust me, once you find a dermatologist that you can get on with they are worth their weight in gold and can help you get your life back.
Unfortunately our families even though they try can't understand how we feel, but it's very important that they understand psoriasis is not just a skin problem. There are lot of other problems related to psoriasis, depression and low self-esteem being a couple of them and that is where your family and friends can help.
But if all else fails we are here to lean on and we do understand, so never be alone.
