Hi Goodstuff, I really feel for you, when you've dutifully applied something they gave you and it burns it can be so horrible. I would have thought you wouldn't apply salicylic acid to broken skin.. But then, I've never been given it.
I'd suggest you make an appointment with the doc (or another doctor at your practice) if you are no longer under derm, and take all your creams, tubes, ointments etc in in a plastic bag and dump them on the desk as a visual display (that's what I did anyway, in my desperation) and show them the emotions too, we think when we go into the doctors we should take a breath and act like an adult but the problem is they really don't have any idea how much psoriasis hurts - I've even been told it doesn't/ shouldn't hurt by a doc who obviously read that somewhere.
Or the A and E, that's also a good idea and if you think you might be wasting their time, think how much of your life they've been wasting by withholding proper treatment. Grr!
