Jim's mention of something 'fermenting' had me thinking. There is a condition called Ketoacidosis. This is where your body produces acetones. Can be caused by low carb diets or diabetes. Chances are the electronic unit can see the acetone and confuses it with alcohol, where by the old fashioned is a chemical reaction and may not react with acetone. As you say the reading increases toward midday, this would follow a change in blood sugar levels. If you are not on a low carb diet it may be worth a quick diabetes check?
Hi John,
Starting to think on those lines or jims stomach brewery idea
I had no tablets (ferm) yesterday pm or this morning. The tester was LO at 8am and 10am but at 11.30 its on 0.63 and at 12 noon its now at 0.96 BAc
I am sat a desk had a breakfast the same as yesterday to set a bar beans on toast I am not on a low carb diet.
I am trying arrange a diabetic check now.
Indeed very sensible to have this checked bazza. It certainly is also a possibility.
It may be that both reactions enhance each other.
What exactly is BAc ?
