Cholesterol isn't a side effect and I wouldn't worry to much about it. They told me mine was to high and I needed to go on Statins for the rest of my life to control it. However I never did use them and at my next check the levels were normal. When the doctor said "That is good news" I said yes it is considering I never used them. Since then they have never mentioned it again, and the last time it was checked all was well and I'm on 90mg of Stelara.
Talking of 90mg. I found it worked better for me, but they do only recommend it at 100kg +. Now I'm not saying you are 100kg+ but if you're not a twig then it may be worth asking.
Another thing is like Jim said to see if they will bring it forward. I tried every 8 weeks and it did help, but the 90mg seems best for me (I'm currently 95kg)
Also Stelara although can work quickly it can take time to get your body used to it. Try keeping a note from week 1 up to week 12 and see if there is a pattern. I find it starts tailing off a bit around week 10.
