I took MTX for nine years ,six by 25mg tablets and three by 20mg injections and I did have side effects from it but it did work on the P at 80% clearance was better for my PsA and has caused me no long term problems. Most treatments can be described as poison in some form as they are, for the most, not really compatible with the human body . I like the Stelara I am on at the moment but wonder how long it will continue to work.
When I was on MTX I had to be more and more careful what I eat as the slightest thing would upset my stomach which was one of the reason I had to go on injections which improved it but eventually the same thing happened on the injections.
This dam disease is a real pain but I do look at what's happening in the research of it and I think that more is happening now than ever before and it gives me a little more hope.
