Hi Alistair my turn to wish you a welcome to the club, I see you have had a good bit of advice already. That's one thing that's freely available here,
I see you say you have been on all the potions and lotions and are just keeping your psoriasis flat, but still there, you say you have been offered Methotrexate ( it's not a drug I like ) but it worked getting my skin clear and progressed me through to the next tier of treatment.... So in my opinion which differs from some, I would give it a try, if after a couple of weeks you find it intolerable, tell the dermatologist and get changed onto something less toxic....... I wouldn't worry unduly about the side effects some manage without any, others find it unpleasant. But if it's monitored by the hospital and your bloods stay within the normal range it shouldn't do any damage.
There are lots of treatments available but it seems you have to fail the first hurdle to get them
Thanks for joining the club, I hope you get a treatment that works for you
