I still buy it in drug stores OTC. IT's coal tar 1.25% mixed with aloe Vera, vitamin E & D, salysalic acid, and a great addition to my Arsenal. It really helps my palmoplanter P. And PPP. Sometimes I mix it with utter cream for cows. I know, things that's make ya go mmmmm! But it works for me.
There's a lot of over the counter products made for P. than ever before and they do work for me. I try to catch it early. Over the years I'm a bit OCD about preventative p cycles. I have learned most of my triggers.
Even hospitals still use it here even as far away as Australia. The theory is that it blocks the small capillary veins that feed the p cells thru the lL-17 pathway deep in the derm tissue which in turn can help with clearing.
Anyway just my 2cents.
