After talking with a member the other day about using the Amazon links from Psoriasis Club, and explaining that we have only made £8.43 in the past three years on commission, I have decided to remove the links.
I'm grateful to those of you that have used the links to try and help, but in the end it's Amazon who are winning and not Psoriasis Club. They get the advertising from this website and we get on average 4% commission, this commission is only paid when the total reaches £25 so at the moment in 3 years we have received nothing, and Amazon have had £204.32 of sales.
Another reason behind my decision is, if the total ever does reach £25 which could take another 6 years I would have to declare it as income under French law. I don't want to go down that route as it would just cause me more problems and probably a tax bill on the commission received, so there is no point in keeping it going.
The idea originally behind the Amazon links was to help raise some funds for the hosting of Psoriasis Club, but don't worry this decision will in no way affect Psoriasis Club and everything will carry on as normal.
Psoriasis Club is here to stay while I'm alive.
