Hi guys, good news! I've been put forward to a dermatologist. He's given me the coal tar treatment in the meantime.

Thank you all for your great advice. Hopefully things will start to get a little better now.

Fantastic news. I agree with Fred. If the coal tar doesn't work then keep pushing.

I started off on that myself, then various creams, then UVA and finally cyclosporin. Months and months of it. I do understand that my Dermatologist didn't want to rush straight in with the 'big guns' (they do have potentially bad side effects) so it was a slow and cautious but effective progression for me.

I'm doing well now (apart from this upcoming blip).
