Hello Joe to Psoriasis Club.
Unfortunately the ointments and creams rarely have a lasting effect, they can help for a while but it's not usually a long term solution unless you're lucky enough to only have mild psoriasis then they can keep it at bay.
I as I'm sure everyone else with psoriasis can sympathise with you about not wanting to let others see your psoriasis, but if you could just start of slowly with a couple of good close friends you may find it;s not as bad as you think. And a good friend will always back you up should some idiot start pushing it to far about the way you look, if you can expose your skin 15 minutes three times a week it will help.

Like Jim said you will find us a friendly bunch, and if you follow Bav's lead and check out the Off Topic board you will soon see we can forget about psoriasis for a while.
