Welcome to the forum!! I have pretty severe scalp and body psoriasis and know how embarrassing the flakes can be, especially if you are fond of wearing black like I am . I would recommend treating your scalp with warm olive oil a couple of times a week. I warm a small bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds and massage it into the worst areas of my scalp, leave it for an hour and then wash my hair using lush shower jelly (made with seaweed agar and natural ingredients so gentle on the skin/scalp).
This helps to soften and remove the larger plaques and minimises flaking.
