There are members here on Fumaderm and Acitretin so feel free to ask any questions you may have.
I'm a firm believer that not all treatments are for everyone and some people get better results from different treatments. I'm not sure of your cost in Ireland as I'm in the U.S. Fumaderm wasn't available to me. My dermatologist prescribed me Acitretin and the costs varies but is around $1400 per month (not counting insurance) here. Of course after insurance, the cost is much less.
Acitretin did work for me, it took a few months before seeing any results but once I started to clear my psoriasis cleared up quickly. I'm currently not on medication (other than I do have a prescription topical) There are other members here who also had good results with Acitretin, and also members who have had good results with Fumaderm. You and your doctor will have to decide what is best for you (not just for treatment but costs as well) and go from there but there's lot of info on here about both treatments.
