Welcome to psoriasisclub, a group of fellow sufferers with psoriasis.
There is a lot to find on Fumaderm on the forum. No doubt Jim will come back to you.
I am also on DMF, but not on Fumaderm.
In order to make things easier for Jim, can you tell a bit more?
What kind of side effects did you get?
How severe are they?
Did you ever have it before?
What is the serious injury you have?
How often have you been to the dermatologist?
Is the presciption done according to a slow protocol?
How often was your blood measured? If you are on it for a year now, that should at least have been 4 times in my opinion.
Hope to read more from you.
Caroline.
I have vomiting, cramping and feeling nauseous for days at a time. I'd say moderately severe on a bad day i find it difficult to eat anything which is horrible because you have to take the tablets with food!
The "add insult to serious injury" is only a saying, i dont have any serious injury sorry for the confusion.
I go to the dermatologist every 3 months to discuss my skin and get my bloods done and as far as im aware my blood results are normal. Thanks for replying!
Caroline is very knowledgeable about DMF and as her first language is not English she does remarkably well, although some of our sayings send her running to her phrase book...
Regarding your symptoms that is strange that after a year it is beginning to have these effects on you you should be having your bloods done monthly really to be safe.
Ask for the results they are important for you to know
Are you taking anything new or eating differently ?
With regard to it not working and yet you are on maximum dose is a mystery
Was it working until recently?
I'm sorry I can't think of a reason for it to stop working and side effects getting worse
I will think a bit longer and write again later
