I forgot to say that my score from the test here was pretty high 31.
Can I ask 2 questions here straight away ? or can I move the post elsewhere?
q1 what is your experience with real sun guys ?
I still love it and it makes me feel so much better in general.
will I be able to still get some sun during my hols ? remember I live in the west of Ireland.
q2 can I go on and off fumaderm / the cost of it is prohibitive in Ireland.
thanks !!
31 is a reasonable score it will be nice if you redo the test in the future when you start on the treatment.
I still get out in the sun as much as I can in Norfolk and it does me good, feeling of well being and I have always wanted to sun myself as when I was bad with it it was my only way to clear it and I think if I can keep my body topped up during the summer, I should be able to reduce the Fumaderm and go onto more of a maintenance dose .
Now can you get sun during your holidays...... I doubt it unless you leave Ireland for a couple of weeks
If you can find it sit out in it, I do
There is no way of knowing if you can stop Fumaderm without the psoriasis coming back, I have found when I dropped to 2 tablets a day it wasn't enough and new plaques started appearing so I upped the dose to get my self relatively clear again... So I think you need to keep the stuff in your system to block the disease ( just my opinion)
I understand a monthly prescription certificate is €110 is that correct if so yes it is expensive.
Some can come off and not have an outbreak for ages
It's an awkward question perhaps Phil may come and give his experience I know he was off it for a long time and then came back to it
