Welcome on the site. My opinion is close to Kat's, in the sense that it already is in your system and that at some time your would have gotten it anyway.
I think that stress is an important factor, I myself can only relate that to the reason that I have it, together with some genes of my parents.
But in literature lots of causes are suspected, recently I read on a psoriasis site that even the lack of certain bacteria in your intestines may be a cause of it. Don't know if that is true. Lots of reseach claims to have some statistical evidence.
Over here with us you have found a nice group of people, always someone to chat to or someone that will react to your posts. We also enjoy ourselves in the off topic section to have a bit of fun and laughter as what we all have is already serious enough.
