My first time on the forum . I hope this is the correct place for questions .
If it's not - sorry , but here goes anyway .

Is there any such thing as a "trigger "that can cause the onset of psoriasis ?

Almnost exactly a year ag i was working decorating the bathroom at my home .
I was wearing latex surgical gloves as I was applying neat household bleach to
clean the grout in the tiles . As I was using the bleach I felt it trickling along my
right arm from my wrist to my elbow . It was stinging quite a bit at the point where the latex
glove meets the inner side of my wrist . Because I was almost finished I stupidly carried on for a few
more minutes .

When I removed the glove I could see that my inner wrist was weeping blood .

I washed under cold running water and thought no more of it .

Over the next few days my wrist became quite soe and it was clear to me that the bleach
had burnt me quite badly . Again , stupidly , I did not seek medical attention and just left
it to it's own devices to heal naturally .

Over the following months the burn has settled down with regard to pain but has left a vivid
deep red scar measuring roughly one inch by one half inch . The skin has still not healed properly
and forms small white plaques that continually produce dead white skin with much the sameearance as psoriasis plaques .

Over the following months i began to develop patches of what my doctor told me is psoriasis .

A two inch circle around the entire area of my right elbow .

Several half inch laques on both legs .

One on my stomach .

A few on my lower back .

So here's the question ?

Due to the appearance of the scar on my wrist, and how it appears much the same
as psoriasis , is it possible that the initial burn has triggered the appearance of psoriasis ?

Apart from mild acne as a boy i have never had any skin problems .

It seems strange to me that this has suddenly happened .
