We all know that it shouldn't be done, but research has shown that small amounts of alcohol and MTX is fine. Any pysician is going to give a warning about MTX and alcohol. Socially inappropriate behavior would be comming to this forum and asking If it is safe, without consulting the pysician first. It's not the medium that's the problem, its the intention of the pantient that is not acceptable.
No your writing skills are fine Matari Im understanding what you are saying, I'm just not grasping the thought of it being inappropriate to ask if another member thinks it's safe to drink whilst on methotrexate (to use your example) I still see nothing wrong with it myself.
On a side note as you mention methotrexate and alcohol, here they advise you to limit your alcohol whilst on it. And when I was in dermatology for a week once I was given a glass of wine with my meal as where those on methotrexate.

I have private health insurance, but as there is no way I could be treated with DMF via a specialist in Australia, I self-medicate. It is unfortunate that what should be a front-line treatment for sufferers here is unavailable. Fortunately I have had good results and the money I spend on DMF and associated testing is less than I spent on topical therapies and pain killers. I'd spend far more on alcohol.
Thank you Bill I must admit I'm still following your progress with great interest and have been tempted a couple of times to give it a go, but it's the fear of making the move and possibly loosing my right to treatment later should it not work.
I did like the sound of your salad though.
