H Wormtail!
I am unable to get on here much. Sorry for my late reply. Im in the US too and as you know our healthcare system is terrible. Ive been waiting for secukinamub and brodalumab , whichever came out first, for a few years due to their ability to target IL17 and minimal side effects. I jimped on this the day after secu was approved only to learn i have to jump through many hoops. Even my dr didnt know where to turn because Cosentyx isnt available here yet. I ended up calling novartis in NY. They explained how it takes another 8 to 12 weeks in the us for a drug to be available here once approved. They told me to go to the site and have my dr fill out the form and they wil work with me and my dr trough all the steps. My dr called to let me know i have to come in, fill out some parts of the form and get bloodwork done so he can send it to novartis. Once i get that done the meds have to be mailed until pharmacies can stock it (great HC system right?). Anyway, my insurance didnt approve yet because they have no information on it ....yes, its true . Either way, Novartis will help us find a way. Im typing from my phone so please excuse any typos. These micro keys leave lots of room for errors . Please keep me posted on your success as you wil probably start it before i do. I still have to find time to get to dr office to fill out papers and get bloodwork done...,and, to make matters worse, i hate needles . It will be awesome to be able to wear short sleeves im summer again instead of walking around like an astronaut . Good luck and keep in touch!!
