Mmmm Can You Over Do It? Interesting question. You would think not, but I suppose yes you could over do moisturising your skin, as you could end up blocking the pores.
I have used Vaseline and Cling Film in the past, but found it was making my skin feel wet and it also made it itchy. I also tried a 50/50 mix of Olive and Peanut Oil for a while but again found it was to wet and itchy. Not Reccomended for your Nut Comment in Off Topic.
I moisturise only the psoriasis not all of my skin once or twice a day, (Always after morning shower, and then if needed late afternoon). As you know I'm a fan of Coconut Oil, but I do sometimes use Cold Cream. And I have found it's a good idea to switch now and again. For the bad times I use Dexeryl, and I also always use Vaseline on my lips as they are often dry.
Don't forget though the best moisteriser is drinking plenty of WATER! Oooh I need a wee now.......................................
EDIT: Not sure if you have Dexeryl in the UK, but here you can get it on prescription. But it does contain (E216) See Here: Parabens what I found out !
