As a person living with psoriasis what topics would you like to see in a documentary? Agree with Fred on the psychological side, and indeed a lot can be researched and inventoried on the history of treatments.
Are you aware of the current Psoriasis Mandate campaigning for better care and support in europe? No! I'll take a look later.
Have you ever watched a documentary on psoriasis before? If so what was it? Did you find it helpful/interesting? No. But over here in holland the patients group on Psorinovo has the same idea of making a film.
From your point of view, would watching people with psoriasis sharing their stories help you in anyway? No it wouldn't help me in my own way of dealing with the psoriasis problem. Personally I have found the ideal treatment, i have my own thread on this treatment on this forum, to share the results.
I'm interested in the effect the condition has on family units, do you think your psoriasis has effected your relatives, friends partners etc in anyway ? Yes certainly it has had effect in the beginning. See also the thread of Fred, but currently I am not bothered anymore as I have everything under control.
Do you think you relatives, friends, partners understand what you experience on a day to day basis? Not relevant for me anymore.
Do you think a documentary like this might help them to understand you and you to understand them and how they view your condition? Yes, I think it would help a lot of relatives to understand.
Do you think more documentaries like this need to be made to raise awareness of the condition in order to educate people so they gain a better understanding? Well a good documentary may certainly help, but I fear the influence of large companies with their treatments. There may be attention to a lot of treatments in the documentary, but it cannot be totally complete because of the enourmous number of them and of the very differing results. So, there I am again, "my treatment" will probably not be mentioned at all, while it is already known for 20 years that it works.
Cheers,
Caroline
