This is a free IPhone app called sleepbot. No wires, just place it on your pillow. You can save them each night and create graphs to show and display different features. It is a great help to understand your sleep patterns. My wife has been using every night since February this year.
As for the study, this does not surprise me. I used to sleep long and deep, but as my PsA has progressed, my sleep time has decreased dramatically, and the quality of the sleep has likewise decreased. I permanently feel tired and weary, which makes the condition worse.
