That is a side effect of DMF, called “flushes” or kind of a heatwave.
What happens is that the little veins in your body, so also in the skin, open up and let more blood coming trough. Which means that you become all red, like you are blushing all over your body. It is a harmless side effect and normally lasts for 20 minutes.
It mostly happens in the beginning of the treatment and gets less later on. I have seen research that shows that it is often a signal that the medication is doing its job.
With me it always started with my head, which became all red and then it spread towards the rest of my body. Some people experience it as very inconvenient, but I did not care at all.
