Sorry, on further reading I’m wrong, there’s no overall maternity leave rules, because it’s depends on the state where you live.
Yeah we're like a lot of little countries with each state having some control over certain things and then one large country where some things are for everyone. A bit confusing at times. I know there have been complaints in the news, usually over women who don't feel their employer has made arrangements if they need to pump at work but personally I don't know anyone who has had issues with leave and/or employers who won't work with them.
