Why can’t we just get some cream containing the epidermidis?

That was also my thought… 

Yep, over my head really.  No idea how that works other than you stick on a patch and I'm guessing your skin absorbs the medicine (like with other patches) but "bacteria cells" sounds..... wrong somehow.  I could never be a scientist.

Well Kat. If you think of your gut, your Microbiome that is one hell of a pack of bacteria and fungi, and it is doing a great job in digesting our food and extracting the right stuff that our bodies need, so in that sense bacteria do not sound wrong.
