The stinging is worse if it's cold, or you push it in to fast.
Yes you may get cold or flu like symptoms but your body will get used to it as time goes on, and it's not usually as bad as flu.
I'm curious on why you mentioned "things you're no longer allowed to eat" I have never heard of anything you should not eat whilst on the Bio's.
As for how long: Humira is usually one shot every two weeks, and you will stay on it as long as it's working. It's not a few shot's and cured, it's an ongoing treatment.
