Yes and no. I have Medicare Advantage so it's Medicare and yet it's through a commercial insurance company. When on Medicare (or in some cases I've read where it says if eligible for Medicare) you can't get the programs offered so it gets a bit interesting on getting assistance for high cost drugs. Funny how once you get old and need more medicines you are on insurance that restricts funding. I understand the government not letting money incentives (coupons, programs, etc) dictate the sale of prescriptions and treatment. BUT... how the heck do they expect retired people to get what they need! Thankfully the doctor's office has a person just for that reason... well not medicare specifically but to help all biologic patients to find an affordable way if possible. We shall see.
