We, Netherlands, have 17 million inhabitants and in our country there are about 400.000 people with psoriasis.
Assuming the occurance in both countries is about the same, then 51/17 * 400.000 = 1.200.000,
1.2 million have psoriasis/psa
It is handling about adults… sooo, well perhaps there are 1 million adults.
They succeeded in incorporating 317.940 patients in that study. That is about 1/3 of the sufferers..
I don’t know about you, but that is a stunning number, and in my view hard to believe.
Mostly because I know that in the Netherlands, around 3/4 of the sufferers is simply treated by the GP’s with simple cremes…who often even hardly know that they have Psoriasis until it becomes worse.
I hate maths.
