Time for an update:
I have been dosing around five times a week with supplements and note a drop in lymphocytes. The psoriasis remains well controlled but I have developed a few fingerprint sized patches. Since the test I have decided to try another dosing strategy. NAC inhibits the anti-oxidant/anti-inflammatory NRF2 activation of dmf, so while it helps the lymphocyte count, it reduces the efficacy of dmf. By not taking supplements with dmf and dosing about three times weekly I may get equal or better efficacy from the drug. In line with this the new patches have been resolving. I expect to have a drop in lymphocytes with my next blood test, but I think that it will be a better approach to take a break from dmf and take supplements if the lymphocyte count drops too low. I hope that this approach will make treatment simpler and more effective. On a lighter note I have been taking advantage of the cheap strawberries on offer by making lots of jam. I make mine with a whack of lemon so it isn't too sweet. Very yummy.
Cheers
