Interesting... I have had scalp psoriasis for some time. I've noticed a little thinning but wasn't certain if psoriasis is the issue or just aging for me. The lymph nodes on one side of the back of my neck was sore and swollen and I wondered if perhaps I had an infection on my scalp. So I did a bit of research and found that it was possibly the issue (fungal infection as mentioned by Turnedlight) so I switched to a tea tree oil shampoo. It's also "suppose" to help support hair growth but as I've just started using it I can't say if it will help with that or not. My lymph nodes are indeed less swollen and sore. Not sure it that is coincidence or if the shampoo actually helped any.
I do think my issue for thinning hair is a combination of age and me scratching thereby damaging the hair. I'm not certain how much of an issue is actually associated with psoriasis for me but I wouldn't rule it out.
