I hope you can get moved to Stelara and I'm sure it wouldn't cause any problems
It is a real and true dread. That's the right word.
It's also a strange combination--increased appetite while feeling waves of nausea and increased headache. I have gained weight, too. An online search from reputable medical sites shows that weight gain has been reported, especially in women over 60, using MTX.
Since I took the six tablets after dinner last night, I have felt crummy. I tell myself this is my last dose. No more. On an upcoming trip, don't even take the tablets with me. Just take the ointments, which I haven't needed. Then I remember how miserable the patches were, the itching, pain, and even bleeding in my skates and I strengthen my resolve to not give up. I was trying to hold out until my dermatologist returns from maternity leave. My next appointment is for August 2. There is another dermatologist covering for her, so I do have the opportunity for care between now and then.
I'm whining and complaining because it's just so uncomfortable right now. The Methotrexate can lower a quality of daily life. But then, so can an active psoriasis. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Thanks for listening.
