Hello Gordon and
You was almost in the right place, but it's no problem. I have moved your post here to give you your own thread as it will get noticed better.
I can confirm that your Surgeon is right to refuse your operation. When I had an operation to have my veins removed in my legs I ended up with an infection due to psoriasis, and my surgeon said he would have to reopen to clear the infection out. So yes it is best not to have a deep cut near psoriasis, It is dead skin after all! and if you did get an infection it would only make things worse for you.
So you have to get yourself positive yes I know it's not easy but you have to put yourself in a positive mind set. I don't normally say this, and you obviously know about Dovobet, but slap loads on anywhere near the Op zone. Though I wouldn't recommend it for the genital region.
Oh and I wouldn't laugh at you for needing a hip-replacement, these things happen and you never know if your next.
Good luck and keep us informed.
Regards.
Fred.
